Empowering Industries with APC Solutions
Founded in 2021, Agria Control Limited (ACL) provides independent consultancy specialising in process control and APC services.
By applying tailored solutions and control products, ACL helps companies across various industries optimise production, improve product quality, and enhance operational stability and safety.
ACL is a proud member of the NewLand Control & Associates consultant network and collaborates with several well known engineering firms.
Our Services
Advanced Process Control Consultancy
Agria Control can provide independent expert advice to a wide range of industries on the implementation of advanced process control (APC) solutions tailored to their specific needs or to improve the performance of existing control systems. ACL can provide comprehensive analysis and solutions for process control issues such as
Production stabilisation,
Reducing the required operator interactions,
Improving yields,
Reducing quality losses,
Reducing production costs,
Reducing emissions.
Our aim is to offer the most appropriate technologies and solutions for specific problems, operations and unique circumstances. In addition to identifying regulatory issues, the report of the survey may include recommendations such as
Repair or replace field instrumentation,
Changes in certain control structures,
Tuning DCS - PLC based controllers,
Implementation of new DCS-based complex control solutions,
To modify inferential calculations or to create new calculations,
To modify or tune existing APC
To install new APC

Engineering Support for APC Projects
Whether your company is looking for process control consultants to design and implement a complete APC project, or you just need temporary assistance for an overburdened engineering team from an external party, Agria Control is happy to provide professional expert services.
The content of APC projects will of course be tailored to your company's needs, but in general our offer includes:
Feasibility and Benefit Study, Functional Specification, Detailed Design and As-Built Documentation,
Performing the necessary PID tuning,
Assistance in selecting the appropriate APC software,
Support with the installation of the software,
Integration of the APC software with the DCS used on site,
Design, development, implementation and tuning of the APC solution.
APC Maintenance
Our APC maintenance services focus on the continuous improvement of APC performance. We work closely with clients to identify and track key performance indicators, adapting control strategies to evolving plant conditions.
APC solutions must co-evolve with the plant, responding to shifts in technology, instrumentation, operations, or personnel.
Maintenance activities should also proactively align control with anticipated process operation changes to prevent performance degradation caused by outdated settings.
Knowledge transfer is essential: staff turnover can erode APC effectiveness when incoming personnel lack familiarity with site-specific implementations. As KPIs shift and operations evolve, operator awareness of control changes becomes critical. Accordingly, regular, structured training for operators, process engineers, and plant personnel is recommended and can be delivered as part of our maintenance framework.
Training Courses
Gain practical skills to implement the benefits of APC on your own site. Increase the performance, innovation and productivity of your engineers and operators.
Learn from expert presentations on advanced control engineering ACL's courses are based on decades of practical experience in successfully implementing APC applications in various industries.
We share our expertise, practical insights and proven tips through real-world examples integrated into the training.
Agria Control offers standard training courses and can also develop customised training programs tailored to your specific needs.
Course durations listed are for typical classroom sessions.
We also offer online version of the courses, which are more flexible in duration.
DMC for Process Engineers (1.5 days)
DMC for Operators (1 day)
Profit Controller for Process Engineers (1.5 days)
Profit Controller for Operators (1 day)
Statistical Process Control: SPC & SQC (2.5 days)
PID Tuning
To stabilise the process, the first step is to review the basic control layer in the DCS / PLC.
The stable operation of this layer is also a prerequisite for the implementation of a higher level complex control or APC.
Tuning PID loops is a highly cost-effective way to improve process profitability, and it does not require any new investment.
By reducing process variability through proper control, operating points can be shifted in a more profitable direction—without increasing the risk of violating process limits or product specifications.
Our PID tuning service can optionally include a comprehensive performance and health assessment report of the control loops. This report may include:
The PID loops identified for tuning
Recommended instrumentation changes
Any suggested modifications or redesigns of control strategies
Recommendations for further improvements
All modifications made during the PID tuning are detailed in the final report, which also includes before-and-after performance trend analyses of the loops.
Our Mission
When founding our company, we set out with a clear mission: to provide our clients with the most suitable, cutting-edge, and effective software and system solutions for their control engineering and process optimisation challenges. To achieve this goal, we established an independent engineering consultancy — free from the influence of major manufacturers — committed solely to serving our clients’ best interests.
Our independence enables us to select the most appropriate technologies and systems from a wide range of vendors, tailoring each solution to the specific characteristics of the project — whether in terms of scale, complexity, or industry requirements.
We believe that professional excellence is built on openness and collaboration. That is why we maintain strong partnerships with internationally recognised engineering firms such as Newland Control and Maraton Engineering, both of which bring decades of industrial experience to the table.
Through these collaborations, we can offer our customers comprehensive solutions - from field instrumentation and DCS configuration to control tuning and process simulation to advanced process control (APC), including real-time optimisation solutions for process units or entire plants.
